Zion Lutheran to
hold baptismal
service at the lake
On July 12, following the Sun-
day morning worship service held in
Clear Lake City Park, Zion Lutheran
Church will be holding a baptismal
service at the lake, open to both chil-
dren and adults. The public is invited
to witness the event. Pastors Dr. Pat-
rick Hall and Kirk Wilkie will be waist
deep in the water while fully immers-
ing people in the grace filled water of
baptized, this is a great opportunity
for you to publicly profess your faith
through the sacrament of Holy Bap-
tism.

“GriefShare” to hold reunion July 10
The grief support group entitled, “GriefShare,” will be hosting a reunion
for anyone who has participated in the past. It will be held at the home of Joyce
and Will Hunsaker, 502 S. 12th St., Clear Lake, on Friday, July 10, from 6-8
p.m.
Hotdogs and brats will be provided, along with tableware and drinks. At-
tendees are asked to bring a salad or dessert, a lawn chair and an update on your
life since the loss of your loved one.

“Hot off the Griddle” fundraiser to
benefit veterans July 12
The public is invited to the Vietnam Veterans of America’s North Star
Chapter 790 “Hot off the Griddle” fundraiser on Sunday morning, July 12,
at the North Iowa Events Center fairgrounds. Pancakes, eggs and ham will be
served from 7 a.m. until noon at the Loafing Shed Shelter. Free will donations
are appreciated.
Free gate admission to the fair and close parking are also part of the event.
The fundraiser provides for the veterans emergency assistance fund.
