CLWGA to hold meeting April 9
    The Clear Lake Women’s Golf Association members will meet on Wednesday, April 9, at the Half Moon in Clear Lake at noon.  Any past or present member who wishes to attend is welcome.  There will be discussion of the upcoming 2008 season.  Anyone 18 and older who is interested in learning more about CLWGA is welcome to attend.  For more information on the association call Margaret Dickens, president, at 641-529-1076.  Other officers include Carol Rannals, vice president; Ginger Holmes, treasurer; Jackie Quinn, secretary.
Mighty Lions to hold wrestling banquet
    The Clear Lake Mighty Lions Wrestling Banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Middle School Commons.  Everyone should bring their own drinks, and bars/dessert to share.  A light supper and table service will be provided.  Every year a booklet is made for each wrestler.  In order to help complete the booklet, parents are asked to design their own page for their wrestler.  Pages should be turned in to Maria Colon by April 1.
Future Stars Spring Shootout set
    The WRC-Building, located adjacent to the UNI-Dome and McCleod Arena has been selected as the site for the 22nd annual Future Stars Spring Super Shootout, the midwest's largest and longest established individual player showcase event for grades 7-12.  The event is slated for April 12-13.  After registering players are organized by size, grade and position to create competitively balanced teams.  Players are evaluated by a minimum of one on court evaluator on a variety of skills.  Future Stars provides feedback to players using a very comprehensive online evaluation form.  For more information visit the Future Stars website at www.futurestarsonline.com or call Damon Vogt at 402-285-9319 or 402-640-6081 or Mark McLaughlin at 660-874-4630 or 712-579-9613.
