Turkey Shoot set for Nov. 11
    The Clear Lake Parks and Recreation Department will hold their annual Turkey Shoot on Sunday, Nov. 11, at noon, at Clear Creek Gym (enter through the main doors).  Teams, consisting of an adult and a related child, have the chance to shoot freethrows and win a turkey.  Each team shoots 20 free throws.  The competition is divided by age of the child. Youth 6-9 years of age move in four feet from the free throw line and shoot at an 8-foot high basket, 10-11 year-olds move in  two feet and shoot at the regulation basket and 12-14 year-olds and adults shoot regulation free throws.  All winning teams will receive a free turkey for their holiday cooking.

MALL Bowling League announces winners
    The MALL Bowling League met on Monday, Oct. 29.  Winners included:  Individual High Game, Clyde Hutchinson, 171 and Sharon Coe & Irene Zuck, 182; Individual 3-Game Series, Clyde Hutchinson, 476 and Karen Humphrey, 498; Team High Game, Forever Tan, 390; Team 3-Game Series, Forever Tan, 1,157. Splits:  Karen Humphrey, 5-10 & 3-10, Barb Hicok, 5-10 & 5-6 and Wilma Ades, 5-7.

Lakette Bowling announces winners
    The Lakette Bowling league met on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Lake Lanes in Clear Lake.  Winners included:  Individual High Game, Kathy Astor, 218; Individual 3-Game Series, Kathy Astor, 615; Team High Game, Lake Lanes, 774; Team 3-Game Series, Lake Lanes, 2,102.  Splits: Kristine Chmielewski, Janine Strong & Deb Hudson.  USBC Awards:  Kathy Astor, 200 game, 600 series & 140 pins over average for series & Kathy Grimsley, 160 game.  Monthly results:  Individual High Game, Kathy Astor, 218; Individual 3-Game Series, Kathy Astor, 615; Team High Game, Lake Lanes, 774; Team 3-Game Series, Whitehurst Mowing, 2,127.  Top 5 averages:  Shari Vestweber, 168; Kathy Astor, 165; Kim Grube, 153; Marian Strayer, 152 and Shelley Stephens, 149.  Standings:  Lake Lanes,

Waldorf to hold youth tournaments
