Marjorie Lucille Lenning passed away on Dec. 13, 2007, at her home in Montgomery, Texas. A memorial service was held at Fellowship of the Woodlands Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 19.  A brief graveside ceremony followed at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
Marge was born in Pontiac, Mich. on Sept. 5, 1929, but spent 30 years around Clear Lake and 41 years in American Canyon, Calif.  She resided with her daughter and son-in-law in Montgomery for the past three years.
Marge was the “wife of noble character” as described in Proverbs 31.  Her husband, Art, had “full confidence” in her for 56 years, and she brought “him good, not harm, all the days of her life.”  She “was clothed with strength and dignity…and watched over the affairs of her household.”  Marge’s greatest joy was taking care of her husband and five children in a sacrificial way.  She worked in food service at Redwood Jr. High in Napa, Calif. for 10 years; however, her greatest accomplishment was in being a loving mother and grandmother.
Marge was predeceased by her husband, Arthur (2005), and daughter, Julie (1985).
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Ives of Seattle, Wash. and Susan Winslow of Montgomery; and her sons, Bruce Lenning of Napa and Charles Lenning of Lahaina, Hawaii.  Her grandchildren include Jamie Stefani, Jessie Ives, Shauna Ives, Gabe Winslow, Matt Winslow, Curt Brandt, Troy Lenning, Allison Lenning, Jake Lenning, and Ciera Lenning.  Her great-grandchildren include Anna and Grace Stefani, Jasmine Sites, Aaron and Shane Winslow, and Avery Brandt.
