Federal, local officers search Lake homes
Details remain sketchy following the execution of two search warrants in Clear Lake by the North Central Narcotics Task Force and the Special Operations Group.
According to a press release issued Thursday, March 27, by Cerro Gordo County Sheriff Kevin Pals, search warrants were served March 26 at 1609 and 1611 South Shore Drive, Clear Lake, as well as at 403 27th St. S.W. and 943 15th St. S.W., Mason City. Pals leads the North Iowa Drug Task Force.
Task Force investigators were assisted by the Clear Lake Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Mason City Police Department, MCPD Neighborhood Team, Forest City Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Air Guard and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Clear Lake Police Chief Greg Peterson said Monday, March 31, that federal officials had provided no new information on the action.
Authorities say their investigation is ongoing.
