Position on race team is a ‘dream job’ for Jeremy Baker

    Jeremy Baker is living life in the fast lane these days.   The really fast lane.
    The 2007 Clear Lake High School graduate made a pitstop in Clear Lake this week on his way to his next assignment as a member of the Penske Racing team.  Saturday he’ll be at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa

   

Council inks tower agreement with CL Tel

    The Clear Lake City Council continues to lay the groundwork for the demolition of the water tower near City Beach.  Monday night the Council approved a letter of intent with CL Tel Wireless to construct a monopole near the police department to provide for the relocation of CL Tel’s cellular antennas and police communication equipment from the water tower to the monopole.

   

Hydrants to be flushed in Ventura June 21-22

    The City of Ventura has announced hydrant flushing will take place Thursday and Friday, June 21-22.  Residents may notice a loss in water pressure and discoloration

Opportunity Village plans to create more community-based, smaller homes for individuals it supports over the next four to five years.
     “For a long time, we have wanted to decrease the number of people living under one roof in our Clear Lake campus homes,” said John Severtson, CEO at Clear Lake’s largest employer.  “Smaller living arrangements offer more personal attention, quieter settings and more community integration.”
