An estimated $129,173 was raised by walkers in Clear Lake and Fort Dodge for Sunday’s Opportunity Village Benefit Walk.  The goal for the event was $150,000, however Village officials noted the actual amount 

   

City will pick up tree limbs Thursday

Workers from the City of Clear Lake will be moving through town Thursday, picking up tree limbs fallen as a result of last week’s snowstorm.  Residents should pile their downed limbs at the curb by 7:30 a.m.

64-year-old water tower comes down

Planner expected to visit with Council  Monday with ideas for the site

There was no greater spectator sport in Clear Lake last week than watching the iconic City Beach water tower come down.

“It’s a little piece of history going away,” said Keith Hanson, who coined the phrase spectator sport when looking around at all those 

   

Court will rule on Redstone

A trial date has been set in a case involving the developer of Redstone on North Shore Drive, Clear Lake, and its residents.  A non-jury trial will start at 9 a.m., Oct. 9 in Cerro Gordo County District in Mason City.

Tim Stenberg, developer of Redstone, owns one unit in the building and is fighting a request by residents of the building
