Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry revved up his campaign with a stop in Clear Lake Saturday.
Perry proudly accepted the “Freedom & Liberty” coffee blend created by Cabin Coffee owners Brad and Angie Barber at their Clear Lake shop. Seven opt for early retirement
The Clear Lake School Board and district educators exchanged contract proposals Monday. The Board is offering no increase in teacher salaries for the 2012-2013 school year, while the Clear Lake Education Association is seeking a 5.5 percent raise in the generator salary base.
Google unveils program for veterans here

Google unveiled a Christmas gift, of sorts, to Clear Lake area veterans on Monday. Google officials were at the Clear Lake V.F.W. Post to unveil a new, free “Google for Veterans and Families” program which puts a number of tools at veterans’ fingertips, helping them to do everything from connect with other vets, to finding a job, to sharing their own military stories.
