CL teams compete at North Central Conference Track Meet

The Clear Lake boys recorded their best finish since 1991 at the North Central Conference Track Meet run Tuesday, May 13 at Lions Field.  The Lions were runner-up with 87-points.  Algona took the title with 175.5 points.  Clarion-Goldfield finished one-half point behind the Lions with 86.50.

It was a very successful night for the Garner-Hayfield/Ventura girls track team as they captured the North Iowa Conference Meet title on Tuesday, May 12.  The Cardinals won by a large margin with 144 points.  West Hancock was a distant second with 100 points.

   

Clear Lake girls end track season at District Meet

Clear Lake girls wrapped up their 2014 track season at the District Meet held at Nevada Thursday, May 15.  

“The girls put their best foot forward and came up a little short of where they wanted to be,” said Coach Shawn Puttmann.  The Lions were unable to advance any events to the State Meet.

The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura boys soccer team split two games in action last week.

Webster City 6, GHV 2

It was a tough night all around for the Cardinals when they hosted a ranked Webster City team on a cold, windy and rainy night Monday night.
