Garner-Hayfield/Ventura edged the Clear Lake girls soccer team, 1-0, in a game played Thursday, April 23.  The win was the first in 11 outings for the Cardinals against the Lions.

“Clear Lake is our biggest rivalry in the sport of soccer.  To get this win was a huge step for us as a program,” said GHV Head Coach Joshe Banse.  “Clear Lake has a very good established program.  We had 14 shots on goal and only allowed three for Clear Lake.  We have been working on finishing games in practice and it has paid off.”
