With six more wins in the past week, Clear Lake improved to 20-1 overall and 9-0 in the North Central Conference.  The top ranked team in Class 3A currently has the best record of any team in the entire state in any class. 

CL 5, Humboldt 2

The Lions earned an important win on the road June 17.  They topped a very good Humboldt team 5-2.

The more they play, the better they play. That’s been the story of the season for the Clear Lake softball team. The Lions picked up a pair of wins last week to move to 5-11-1 on the season.

“Overall, the girls are coming together as a team and believing in the Clear Lake softball program,” said Coach Megan Young.  “We are proud of their efforts and challenge them to continue to get better and

The Garner-Hayfield/Ventura softball team endured a long week, dropping eight games.

Newman 9, G-H/V 1

The Cards opened the week against the always-tough Newman Knights.  Newman pitcher Becca Huberty threw a one-hitter, helping her team to a 9-1 victory.  Tiera Van Gerpen recorded the only hit for G-H/V.  

Taylor Reising took the loss for the Cardinals.  She gave up six hits, walked four and struck out one in three
