“The second quarter is what killed us,” said Coach Rod Huber. “With Emily and Shelby sitting out most of the quarter, we struggled to score.”

Ventura was up by four points with :35 seconds remaining in the game, forcing H-LP to foul to regain possession. Unfortunately, Ventura could not capitalize on their opportunities at the line. The Wolves trailed by two points and turned a desperation shot at the buzzer from beyond the three-point line into gold. To capture the 37-36 victory.
“We have lost four games by seven points or less this season, we just need to learn to close out games and quit having one bad quarter,” said Huber.
