Lillian Cooper

Lillian Cooper, of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away on March 25, 2014 at the age of 103.  She was born on Dec. 13, 1910 to Jurgen and Elizabeth Aden and grew up in Gothenburg, Neb.

She married Jim Cooper in 1932.  They lived in Omaha, Neb., and had two children, a son, Bob, and a daughter, Lu.  In 1947 the family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa.  Lillian was a member of PEO, a golfer and a bowler.  She also enjoyed a variety of crafts.  She loved life, laughter and country living.

Although Scottsdale became her permanent residence, she loved coming back to Iowa and spending summers in Marshalltown and in Clear Lake with family and friends.

Lillian is survived by her son, Bob Cooper, of San Marcos, Texas; her daughter, Lu Scholl, of Clear Lake; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.
