Candidates begin to emerge for District 2 Supervisor seat

The field of candidates seeking the District 2 Cerro Gordo County Supervisor seat being vacated by Robert Amosson has grown to four. Three candidates, two Republicans and a Democrat, announced this week they have taken out nomination papers. They join previously announced Democratic candidate John Drury, of Swaledale. Drury is the mayor of Swaledale.
The first day to file nomination papers to be a candidate on the ballot at the 2014 Primary Election is Monday, March 3. The deadline to file is 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 26.
