Lake Arts Center’s “Bad theater
at its best!” The spring rendi-
tion of the “Cup O’ Joe ‘Decaf ’
Show,” will be offered Thursday,
Friday and Saturday, May 28-
30, in the Sukup Performing
Arts Room. The show will in-
clude short sketches compiled
by Paul Harthan, from short
comedy sketches that are free
for public use by Eric Coble,
D.M. Larsen and Bruce Kane.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with
showtime at 7:30. Nonsemble
will play for musical enjoyment
at 6:30 p.m. Advance tickets
are $10 and are available at the
Clear Lake Arts Center, 17 S.
4th St., or by calling 357-1998.
At the door tickets are $12.

Callanan called any attempt by the City to choose a location for

for such a project should take the lead, he said.
“I’m a little frustrated at some pointing fingers at the Council
asking us to take the next step,” he added.
Earlier in the meeting, Walt Muskovich, a resident of Clear
Lake, spoke to the Council during the citizen’s opportunity to ad-
dress the Council on issues not appearing on the agenda. Muskov-
ich, a Vietnam-era veteran, said he sensed a lack of direction for
a monument. He said he would like to see it located at the city-
owned Veteran’s Memorial Golf Course on North Shore.
Since the beginning of the year other locations, including the
Sea Wall, corner of 8th Street and Main Avenue, and area near City
Beach formerly occupied by a water tower, were studied as a pos-
sible site for three flag poles and granite walls displaying the names
of local veterans. The City Council, on the recommendation of
the Parks and Recreation Board, formally turned down a request to
place the memorial at the Sea Wall. No other specific site has been
proposed.
