Thomas A. Rose

 

Thomas Allen Rose, 82, of Mason City, passed away on March 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. 

A memorial service was held on Monday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m., at Praise Community Church, 11 2nd St. NW, with Pastor Jeff Dahlin officiating.  Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, Mason City.  Memorials may be directed to Praise Community Church. Thomas Allen Rose was born on April 21, 1940, in Mason City to parents Wallace and Laura (Blumensteil) Rose. Tom graduated from Mason City High School in 1959. By May of 1959 he had graduated from Vocational Training as a Machinist. Tom went on to be a Journeyman with the Sheet Metal Workers International Association for 25 years. He then completed 10 more years of service for the International Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 45.  On June 2, 1963, Tom married the girl next door who was the love of his life, Pam Enabnit, at the First United Methodist Church. After his time with Metal Craft, Tom would work for Ray E. Pauley Co., then AL & J Construction and finally Rose Construction. Tom officially retired in 2004. 

Tom is survived by his wife, Pam Rose; children, Scott Rose, Jeff (Susan) Rose, Wendy (Stacey) Hippen; sisters, Betty Dahl, Janice Rose; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Phyllis Mix; and granddaughter, Amber Winters.
