New salesperson joins Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter staff

The Clear Lake Mirror-Reporter is excited to announce that Devin Lowe is stepping in to the sales position to handle all of the advertising needs of Clear Lake and the surrounding areas.

Lowe, a 2019 graduate of Clear Lake High School, spent his time after high school in kitchens cooking or bartending before handling the assistant manager duties at Lakeside Landing.

Lowe was also in sports in high school, playing football, baseball and wrestling and while not in those sports anymore, he stays active walking his two dogs, a black lab and corgi.  He also enjoys fishing, hunting and traveling.

“My friends and I have plans to travel to the 48 contiguous states,” said Lowe. “We are hoping it happens in the next couple of years.”

Most recently, Lowe spent a year in Tampa, Fla.where he worked for Sterling Black Inc., as a salesperson. Lowe’s biggest draw for sales was working with and meeting new people and making community connections and supporting local businesses.

Lowe enjoys not only meeting with restaurants, but all businesses such as hotel supervisors and general merchandise stores, among others. Setting his goals high, he looks to be the top sales representative within Mid-America Publishing, the parent company of the Mirror-Reporter.

“I want to build a career here. I want to be here long-term,” said Lowe. “All the events in Clear Lake make it a fun place to be, such as the 4th of July, Thursday’s on Main and all the business events.”

Lowe doesn’t just want to sell for the sake of selling, but to help attract customers to local businesses. Being from the area, Lowe appreciates the hard-work that the business owners put into their establishments.  “I spent a lot of time growing up with their kids in the Clear Lake school system and I want to help them succeed.”
