Mary was raised in Clear Lake with her siblings, Donald and Shirley. Stories tell that her youthful, fun, loving nature lasted throughout her entire adult life. Many were victims of her playful pranks.

She began decades long farm life near Nora Springs, Iowa early in her life, when she married her first husband, Ervin Hansen. It ended in 1980 when he died in a farm accident. She was later remarried to Robert Davis and together they lived in Mason City.

Mary was asked what she would want in her obituary and she said she wanted it to say how much she loved her friends. She had many friends, some decades long and some newer. She was selfless when it came to reaching out to people in need. She cherished her bridge group. It seemed she was always making pies for people which she had been skilled at since her youth.

Mary was an artist. She used different mediums, but her favorite was water color. Nature was a great source of creativity. Mary took joy in giving her paintings to friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, David Hansen, of Mason City, and Jean Hansen, of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Shirley Andersen, of Mason City; stepdaughters, Jane Nuttbusch and Jackie Porreco; nieces and nephews, Marcus Andersen,  Chris, Doug, Julie, and Tina; as well as other extended family members and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Hansen; second husband, Robert Davis; son, Jack Hansen; brother, Donald Bisgrove; her parents, Walter and Carmen Bisgrove; and a brother-in-law, Buddy Andersen.

Peace to all.

Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of arrangements.
