Dennis Miller

    Dennis Keith Miller, 58, 2700 North Shore Dr., Clear Lake, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his home.  A memorial service was held Monday, April 23, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Diana Hoover officiating. Inurnment will be at  the Fort Dodge Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Dennis Keith Miller Memorial Fund in care of Clear Lake Bank and Trust.

     Dennis was born May 26, 1953 in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Dwayne Keith and Viola Mae (White) Miller.  He attended elementary school in Webster City and received his G.E.D. in Marshalltown, Iowa.  While living in Marshalltown, Dennis worked for Iowa Electric Light and Power as an engineering draftsman for over 20 years. He then moved to Clear Lake where he met and married Yvette (Thompson) Green, his “Angel”.  They married Jan. 15, 1999 at the Galilean Lutheran Church.  They resided in Clear Lake for over 12 years.  
     Dennis loved racing and NASCAR, cars, working with his hands, plants, music, movies and word puzzles.  Always special to him were family get-togethers, being with his grandchildren and talking with his dad.  He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Street Machine Club.  
     Dennis is survived by his wife, Yvette Miller, Clear Lake; his parents, Dwayne and Viola Miller, Clear Lake; daughter, Audra Miller, West Des Moines, Iowa; step-children, Tyrone Green, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Charles (Kathleen) Green, Mason City, Anthony (Jessica) Green, Humboldt, Iowa, Justin (Sarah) Green, Mason City, and Tiffany (Glenn) Harrington, Mason City; 40 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Judee (Jim) Miller, Clear  Lake, and Rhonda Stephens, Clear Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.  
     Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents.
