Colleen R. Dyre

 Colleen Ross (Caldwell) Dyre, 93, of Clear Lake, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 29, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City; with Lay Minister Al Berge, of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Clear Lake Fire Department in memory of Colleen.

Colleen was born on Oct. 12, 1930, in Mason City, the daughter of George and Louise (Ross) Caldwell.  On Sept. 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Dyre, of Rockwell; to this union three children were born, Judith “Judy,” Kathleen “Kathy” and Jay.  Colleen enjoyed knitting, puzzles and Ranger rides!

Colleen is survived her children, Kathy (David) Septer, of Hills, Iowa, Jay (Tina) Dyre, of Clear Lake; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Maggie Caldwell, of Mason City; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise Caldwell; husband, Jim Dyre; daughter and son-in-law, Judy (Larry) Benson; grandson, Shawn Septer; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Rollie) Alitz; and her brother, Don Caldwell.

Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, is in charge of arrangements.
