Brant files papers to run for Ward 1 City Council seat

    Dana Brant, 1201 N. 5th St., has announced his candidacy for the Clear Lake City Council Ward 1 seat being vacated by Shane Cooney.
    Brant, a real estate investor and contractor, said he considers the time to be right to become more involved with the community he has called home since 2001.  The York, Penn., native has four

children with his wife, Kristi, who is employed as a certified public accountant at Potter & Brant, with offices in Clear Lake and Mason City.
