Allan was born Oct. 24, 2001, the son of Scott and Toni (Peterson) Shafer, in Mason City.

Allan began working for Winnebago Industries on Dec. 7, 2020 as a welder, he advanced and changed jobs in the company and was currently working as an RV Technician.

Allan was kind of a motorhead, he loved anything that moved on wheels or across the snow.  He began riding dirt bikes at the age of three.  He started roller skating and skateboarding at a young age and could be found at Roller City Roller Rink every Friday and Saturday night.  His love of roller skating lead him to join the JR Roller Derby.  His love of cars started at a young age with Hot Wheels and quickly escalated when he began helping his Grandpa Shafer rebuild “Christine,” a 1970 Camaro.  His passion for working on cars then turned to “Betty White,” a 1984 white Camaro.  He was currently deeply involved in rebuilding a 1976 Corvette Stingray.

Allan enjoyed hanging with friends, whether it was at a bonfire, shooting guns, fishing, going on motorcycle rides, to car shows, car cruises and rolling coal.  He also liked riding BMX bikes.  In his younger years Allan enjoyed hanging out at Camp of the Woods, fishing and playing with friends.  He also spent many hours riding horses at his grandparents.’  His work ethic as a young man was evident as he detasseled corn, baled hay to help his grandparents out, and was willing to be there for others who needed assistance.  Allan was a member of the Knuckleheads Car Club.

Those thankful for having shared in Allan’s life include his parents, Scott and Toni Shafer; brother, Logan (Josie) Shafer; niece, Eva; two nephews, Aaron and Bryan; maternal grandparents, Paul and Marsha Peterson; paternal grandmother, Janice Shafer; aunts, Lori (Jeff) Bublitz, Angie (Gary) Ausborn, Laurie (Randy) Hadacek; uncle, Tom Shafer.  Loved by numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Shafer; and an aunt, Donna Spencer.
